Facilities
The Durham Community Park is Durham's oldest park and consists of twenty-four acres. This park is located one mile east of Durham on Durham-Dayton Hwy. In this park, shaded by the numerous Valley Oaks are picnic tables, a fully equipped playground, basketball courts, a riding arena, two baseball fields and the Scout Hut.
Picnic sites in the park can be reserved. The park offers 5 smaller sites that will accommodate up to 40 people. Sites include two picnic tables and a small BBQ.
Durham Community Park offers two large group picnic areas. CP-6 is a large covered picnic area with water and some working electric plugs while CP-3 offers a large uncovered area near the playground with water access. Each site will accommodate up to 400 people. Each area is equipped with large BBQ's.
The sites are great for birthday parties, employee BBQs, wedding receptions and more.
