Durham Rec is hosting a Floral Design Class for you and your Mini (or Minis)! Our instructor, Lauren will teach you and your kiddo(s) how to make a beautiful arrangement with fresh cut flowers from her local farm. Each designer will take home a vase (large for adult, small for kiddo) full of blooms and foliage, and you'll have the option to purchase more at the event (cash or Zelle). Tools, jars, and snacks provided!
TEIL Farms is a fresh cut flower farm here in Durham. Its owner, Lauren Hulse, has been growing flowers for 3 years. She started growing flowers for her church, and turned TEIL Farms into a business in 2025. You can find TEIL Farms bouquets for sale locally at Marigold Marketplace. She is providing fresh cut flowers for a variety of classes through Durham Recreation & Park District, starting with this Mommy and Me class! Look for more from TEIL Farms coming up!
