Facilities

In March of 1975, DRPD Board of Directors approved purchase of land from the Durham Unified School District for the purpose of building a community pool. The pool was built, at a cost to the District, of approximately $310,000 and was officially opened to the public in June of 1976.

Since that opening day over 45 years ago, The Dwight Brinson Swim Center has been the home to a long list of District sponsored aquatics programs, as well as the Durham Dolphins and Durham High School Swim Teams.

Monday-Friday Adult Lap Swim 12:00-1:00 PM
Monday-Saturday Public Swim 1:00-4:00 PM
Saturday Public Night Swim 7:00-9:00 PM

POOL CLOSED FOR PUBLIC SWIM ON THE FOLLOWING DATES: Saturday 6/14, Friday 6/20 and Saturday 6/21 for swim meets
